Rork Projects Employee Shane Kennedy Celebrates 18 Years of Service and Dedication.
At Rork Projects, we take immense pride in acknowledging the outstanding service and unwavering commitment of our employees. We recently had the honour of celebrating a remarkable milestone achieved by our longest standing team member, Mr. Shane Kennedy.
In recognition of 15 years of dedicated service, Co-Owners Brian O’Rourke and John Paul Janke presented Shane with a pair of personalised RM Williams boots at our National Employee Conference held on the Gold Coast in February this year. Our first company-wide gathering since the pandemic, the conference not only served as a long-awaited opportunity for our team to reconvene but also allowed us to celebrate the many milestones our employees have hit over the last 3 years – including those at 5, 10, and of course 15 years.
Shane’s journey with us began in 2005 as a Site Manager in Canberra, where he quickly displayed his unique skills and passion for our industry. Over the years, he advanced through various positions of increasing responsibility, including Estimating and Project Managing, ultimately ascending to the role of National Systems and Safety Manager, based in Brisbane.
Rork Projects Managing Director Brian O’Rourke said that Shane has been instrumental in the company’s growth.
“When Shane commenced his journey with Rork Projects, the company was still in its infancy as we operated from a modest office in Canberra,” Brian said.
“Since then, he has played an important role in our growth and success, supporting me to establish our Sydney Office, before undertaking the responsibility of overseeing our national systems and safety operations.
“Shane has always championed a positive company culture, consistently upholding our values of ‘The Rork Way’. His dedication to his work and willingness to take on new challenges have been key factors in his continued success at Rork Projects.
“Shane’s dedication to our company and commitment to his work are an inspiration to all of us at Rork Projects.
“I appreciate all that he has done for Rork Projects and I feel honoured to have him as a trusted colleague and friend. I look forward to many more years of working together and achieving great things.”
