A Perfect Outcome

As an Indigenous company we value working with businesses that share similar values to ours.

Finding opportunities to reduce, reuse and recycle materials through our projects is important to us at Rork Projects, and we are really excited to be partnering with environmental innovators Perfect Contracting on our project in Marsfield, Sydney.

The project involves demolishing a three-storey office tower and smaller buildings to clear the site for CSIRO.

Using the Gauss MRS100 Magnet attachment, Perfect Contracting can effectively extract the fine metals that are mixed in with the demolition materials and would ordinarily end up in landfill.

But beyond just the environmental wins, Perfect Contracting have volunteered to donate all funds from the on-sale of the recycled materials from site – totalling $5,000 – to Rork Projects’ Wa Initiative.

“As a one of our core values we are always looking to innovate, increase productivity, safety and reduce our environmental impact,” said Perfect CEO Mateusz Jedruszek.

“New technologies like the Gauss MRS100 Magnet allow us to recycle steel, faster and safer than ever before, bringing benefits to both ourselves and our clients.

“Rork Projects have been a long-standing client of ours and that’s why when we heard about the Wa Initiative, we wanted to help wherever we could.”

The Wa Initiative raises funds to support other Indigenous foundations and not-for-profit organisations to offer quality, secondary education scholarships at leading Australian boarding schools for Indigenous children from regional, rural, and remote communities.

Most recently, the Wa Initiative has partnered with Yalari, to support Nevaeh – a young Aboriginal girl from Weipa – to attend Clayfield College in South East Queensland.

Rork Projects Co-owner John Janke said the support from Perfect Contracting could not have come at a better time.

“To receive this amount of support when most of our country is in lockdowns is just incredible,” John said.

“We are so pleased to be able to work with Perfect Contracting, and on behalf of the students we would like to sincerely express our gratitude to Perfect Contracting for their significant contribution.”
