Bureau of Meteorology (QLD) delivered ahead of programme

Another week, another project completed by Rork Projects QLD, this time for the Bureau of Meteorology, Virginia.

Rork Projects has delivered this office and information hub incorporating both segregated private office areas, communal open work areas, amenities and an external space between two buildings.

You could be mistaken for thinking that this office is situated next to the beach on the Sunshine Coast, rather than its actual location on the outskirts of an industrial estate in Brisbane’s eastern suburbs.

The architect (GHD Woodhead) has cleverly created photographic imagery on internal glass panels throughout the office to transform the atmosphere of a confined office environment. Additionally, the combination of private and open work spaces using curved joinery and textiles is a far cry from the cubical workspaces of the past.

This project was delivered ahead of its original construction programme, on budget, and with zero defects on completion, which again demonstrates how the Rork Projects’ team is raising the bar and aggressively chasing delivery excellence on every project.

“At Rork, we are continually reflecting on each project and thinking about how we can improve and do more. Working with the Bureau of Meteorology is a great example of how the team has pushed the envelope by delivering a fantastic outcome for our client, on time, on budget, with zero defects – an outcome in line with every client’s expectations. Well done to the QLD team,” – Brian O Rourke, Managing Director, Rork Projects
