Breaking Ground on 191 Stratton Terrace

After a busy few months in the plan and design phase, Rork Projects are pleased to announce a significant milestone in our residential new build project with DeMartini Fletcher, at 191 Stratton Terrace, Brisbane.

The momentous occasion took place last Thursday with a sod turning and traditional Smoking Ceremony held by the original custodians of the land, representatives from the Quandamooka and Yuggera people. The tradition of a smoking ceremony is an ancient custom amongst Indigenous Australians. The smoke from the burning eucalyptus leaves, cleanses the site of any bad spirits, promoting the well-being of all involved before the project begins.

The proceedings were MC’d by Demartini Fletchers Development Manager, Tony Dwyer with the official sod turning being undertaken by the Managing directors of both companies, John DeMartini Senior and Brian O’Rourke.

“We are very proud of our partnership with DeMartini, and we would to thank them for the opportunity to build 191 Stratton Terrace,” Rork Projects Managing Director Brian O’Rourke, mentioned.

This project will be Rork’s third in collaboration with DeMartini Fletcher, after successful completion of our flagship projects, 28 King Street, Caboolture, and it’s sister project at 10 King Street.

We would like to thank everyone who attended the ceremony and we look forward to watching this project unfold.
