RORK AT CONNECT 2019

This week, Rork Projects will join some two hundred other Indigenous Businesses  – on the traditional lands of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation  – at the Indigenous Business Tradeshow as part of Supply Nation’s CONNECT 2019.

The showcase at CONNECT 2019  – at the ICC in Sydney – is a hub where Indigenous entrepreneurs, businesses and buyers connect to share ideas and talk business.

For Rork Projects Co-owner Brian O’Rourke, CONNECT 2019 is a great opportunity to not only connect with buyers but to also investigate opportunities with many other Indigenous businesses.

“We are keen to showcase our capabilities across the sector to procurement teams from government and corporate Australia who we could partner with on projects across the nation,” he said.

For Co-owner John Paul Janke, CONNECT 2019  is part of Rork Projects aim of fostering beneficial working relationships and opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment and business.

“Assisting Indigenous businesses to realise their growth potential will provide outsized benefits for the Indigenous community, and for Australia.”

“If you’re attending CONNECT 2019, come around and meet us at K8 and see how we innovate, collaborate and construct,” Mr Janke added.

Did you know that figures highlight that Indigenous businesses are over 100 times more likely to hire Indigenous workers than non-Indigenous businesses.

CONNECT 2019  will also celebrate the ideas and achievements of outstanding individuals and organisations at the 2019 Supplier Diversity Awards.
