Improving Indigenous participation

As an Indigenous business, we know that engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and businesses empower our communities.

It’s something we continue to strive for across our various project sites.

Eddie Blanket – from Badu Island in the Torres Strait – is our site labourer on our Caboolture project – importantly ensuring the site is safe, organized and productive. He’s been an outstanding addition to the team on the Caboolture project which has also seen him undertake minor demolition, labouring, steel fixing and concreting and is gain experience in civil earthworks and surveying works.

In Victoria, Casey Beckhurst (pictured left) continues as our site assistant on a major project in Shepperton. He’s closely working with Site Manager John Nailon to gain expertise in interpreting plans and drawings and build on his existing skills and interest in carpentry. We’re proud to be part of Casey’s plans to complete his qualifications and run his own carpentry business.

Rork Projects is grateful for strong partnerships with MADEC Australia and Red Rock Recruitment Pty Ltd who share our commitment to Indigenous participation.
