We are thrilled to have successfully completed the refurbishment of the Randwick City Council’s Paine Reserve amenities.
Images through show a complete transformation of the block, since our in-progress update was shared in November last year.
This project is a great demonstration of the feasibility of repurposing existing building elements to a new construction. By working with the foundations, the environmental impact was able to be reduced.
First built in the 1940s, this new amenities block was designed by Lead Architects to extend the building, while retaining most of the blockwork and internal walls. The facility includes two change rooms, each with a shower and toilet, a referees change room, three unisex WCs, and one accessible WC. Storage for sports clubs and a new plant room for bore water filtration equipment were incorporated into the design.
