Project Showcase

During the month of June, our project support staff took part in an exciting new initiative we are calling “Project Showcase”.

This new culture initiative gives the opportunity for all employees to engage with and learn about the processes our hard-working delivery team go through.

The first team to take on Project Showcase was our Sydney team who visited the CSIRO in Westmead. This included our National HR and Recruitment team, along with the Office Manager and Bid Codinator for NSW.

The project for the CSIRO is a full floor fit out in its final weeks, encompassing multi-function workspaces which splits the tenancy in two. One side of the floor will be utilised as office space with workstations, meeting rooms, breakout and open plan collaboration areas, with the other side being used for food prep areas, examination rooms, clinic rooms & a PC2 certified laboratory.

The next event was undertaken in Brisbane, with our marketing, bid coordinating, estimating, and accounts teams heading out to our latest new build project in Caboolture.

The team were taken through the site safety induction by National Systems and Safety Manager Shane Kennedy and given a site tour by the site team Richard Byatt and Chelsea Wallace.

As this is one of our largest current projects, it was a great chance for our employees to get an understanding of the site, learning all about the safety elements involved along with meeting some of our site managers and sub-contractors.

And finally, last Friday, our Melbourne team went out to the Yoorook Justice Commission to check out the latest update on this project.

Having recently completed stage 1 of the Yoorrook Justice Commission’s new bespoke office, it was a great opportunity to get a few of the team along for our monthly ‘Project Showcase’ to see the Back of House works completed!

Stage 2 is well underway which once completed will be the FIRST hearing rooms in Victoria. ‘Yoorrook’ was established by the Victorian Government as Australia’s first truth-telling process with the powers of a Royal Commission.  The Victorian Government expects that  Yoorrook’s  inquiry  will  help  build  the  foundations  for a new relationship between First Peoples and the State of Victoria and all Victorians.

This was a great opportunity for the bid coordinator and office manager to take a look at what goes on on site.

With such a successful first month across all of the states, we cannot wait to see where Project Showcase takes us this month.
