Rork Projects were engaged by Australia Post to refurbish their existing post office at Inala Plaza.
The works were completed after hours and on weekends to ensure the shop remained operational throughout the construction works. Works were also completed in stages for the post office to facilitate the installation of new floor finishes throughout, new joinery units and stands, updated signage and a new entrance/façade for the shop.
One of the most challenging aspects of the refurbishment was the restack and placement of the existing post office boxes into a new layout. A selected team was required to dismantle the original stack and restack the post office boxes into new required locations for their customers.
Rork Projects also ensured that daily cleans were completed at the end of every shift so that Australia Post employees were able to operate the store in a clean and presentable environment every day for trade to commence.
