The project involved building modifications to support the operation of the City Events unit at 34 – 42 Bourke road Alexandria.
Works comprised of the construction of a lift shaft, co-ordination of installation of the lift, upgrade and alterations to building electrical services including new main switchboard, alterations to first floor partitions, enclosure of under croft area and fire resistance upgrade to roller shutter between under croft and warehouse. A new climate controlled store room within the warehouse was constructed to accommodate the civic collection. The provision of specialised storage racking and a sink in the new store room completed the main works. A flex sheet curtain was installed to house the library and civic collection on a newly polished concrete floor.
