Rork Projects were engaged by Major Projects Canberra on behalf of City Renewal Authority for the first stages of the upgrades and revitalisation to City Walk, between Garema Place and Ainslie Place.
Rork Projects contracted all local trades to supply, manufacture and install all key design elements. A selection of movable furniture provides spaces to sit and relax, with core ten garden beds housing an abundance of plants and protecting the existing mature trees.
Local electrical engineers and electricians have worked together with ACT Government to deliver a lighting design that will change throughout the year and for events.
The lawn areas cover approximately 630 square meters and will be usable all year round and perfect for sitting, playing and relaxing.
Maximising Indigenous contractor engagement was a major objective of this project. Through the project we delivered 21% downward spend to Indigenous business.
