On behalf of joint owners AMP and GPT, Rork Projects was engaged as the head contractor to carry out strip out and make good of on floor space and refurbishment of lobby and bathroom amenities on level 22, Tower 2, Darling Park.
Works comprised strip out of legacy fit out, new in ceiling services, ceiling and floor finishes; new inter tenancy walls; electrical board upgrade; new wall, floor and ceiling finishes to the lift lobby and complete strip out and refurbishment of the female and male amenities.
The building owners had a Better Building partnership in place which aligned with Rork Projects’ mutual commitment to minimise waste through repurposing and recycling wherever possible. Rork took the initiative to avoid land fill and give to those in need by auditing and rehoming an entire floor of furniture, through our partners at GIVIT. GIVIT allowed us to repurpose 80% of the furniture on site to various charities.
Delivered in an occupied environment, works were completed without disruption or interference to other building tenants and visitors.
As an Indigenous business, we proudly acknowledge that this project was completed on the traditional lands of the the Gadigal of the Eora Nation.
