Rork Projects has just completed a stunning 1000m2 full floor office fit out for our valued client, Frasers Property Group. The project involved transforming a cold-shell space into a modern and functional office environment, with a focus on incorporating textures as a focal point on the finishes and utilizing the shape of the external façade to produce key internal features.

The finished design included contemporary office space necessities, such as a town hall, important for nurturing organizational culture and employee engagement. The ‘Town Hall’ provides a central gathering area for large group meetings, events, and presentations, with high level technology including projector, screens, and integrated meeting room booking systems.

One of the more interesting elements of the design included each of the key elements such as meeting rooms and kitchen, being set back from the large glass windows to create a ‘Runway.’ This ensured a staff-centric focus and communal space for lunches and gatherings that got prime position for the stunning view of Brisbane city created by the floor to ceiling windows.

Curved ceilings/bulkheads were used throughout, along with quality joinery centred at the design. The project makes use of acoustic ratings to ensure that appropriate sound and separation is evident throughout all areas. The Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) process enabled all client requirements to be designed and detailed into a full Design and Construct (D&C) process.

Sustainability was a key aspect of the project. During the project, Rork Projects achieved an 85% waste content average over the duration of the project. The project made use of separation of Contractor waste onsite to optimise the opportunities for recycling, including the separation of cans, plastics, and general food waste.

Rork Projects maintained open communication, briefing and planning with the client and consultant to ensure the project was completed in accordance with the expectations set by the project team. The project was completed on time, with a happy client and a quality finished product. Rork Projects ensured the client was satisfied throughout the duration of the project, guaranteeing their requirements were met and exceeded where possible.
