Refurbishment & Fit-Out
7 Weeks
GHD

Rork Projects was engaged by GHD to carry out the refurbishment and fitout of their Canberra Office located on Levels 7 & 8, 16 Marcus Clarke Street in Civic. Working often with GHD on large Federal Government and Defence projects, it was a pleasant change to work with GHD as a client.

The project included the relinquishing of their level 6 tenancy, returning this space to the landlord with a back to base warm shell. Their newly acquired space on level 8, along with the rework of their other existing tenancy on level 7 tenancy, saw Rork deliver a new fitout and refurbishment of the space as the office was redefined for the years ahead, post the COVID pandemic.

The new reception foyer included a specially commissioned indigenous rug acknowledging country and the first nations people. The feature panelling to the new reception counter, and illuminated signage, created a warm, contemporary and elegant space. The boardroom and adjacent meeting space also received new feature ceilings, acoustic operable wall and integrated AV / lighting systems. The view over lake Burley Griffin is truly magnificent from this newly refurbished office space.

As an Indigenous business, we proudly acknowledge that this project was completed on the lands of the Ngunnuwal people.
