Rork Projects was engaged by Monto Projects to complete a high-end office fit out for the relocation of a global investment company’s head office in Melbourne’s CBD.
This office fit out is unique due to the high level of design detail as well as the bespoke nature of finishes. This elegant design constructed in collaboration with Bates Smart and Monto Projects puts this space a step above the rest. High quality, seamless integration of technology, crisp finishes and polished presentation all accumulated to create this collaborative modern workspace, a hosting venue and a location for private meetings.
The focus for our client was a fit out with ‘wow’ factor, as well as being delivered within budget and on time. This meant that all aspects of the fit out were to be carried out to an exceptionally high-level of quality.
The fit out comprised of an entire floor that offered inviting spaces for clients, seamless workspaces for employees, and areas suitable for entertaining clients. Design included an impressive reception area with feature metal cladding and double doors that open up to two boardrooms, four separate offices, kitchen and dining area, additional back of house meeting room, Video Conference Pod room and an open plan workspace that provides a view of the outdoor terrace area via an impressive audio-visual system that links all rooms and provides seamless communication with clients.
The detailed design of this project did prove to be a rewarding challenge.
Of particular interest is the bespoke 180 degree opening doors that open up from the reception area to create an in-house function space. These 200kg acoustic doors needed to be custom-made to fit the space with special installation required. The fit out also includes five different wall panelling types that intersect at particular points in the space. Numerous shop drawing review meetings were undertaken to ensure this process was as seamless as possible
