Works performed by Rork Projects on the Riverside Centre skygarden projects were some of the most high risk the company had taken on. Installation of architectural and structurally engineered glass and balustrading was achieved with strict safety procedures in place.
All workers were made to operate in the skygardens using a static line (harness) at all times, while exclusion zones were also set up around the permitter of the building (ground level) to ensure the safety of all pedestrians and workers located in the area. Some of these works were also performed after hours to ensure a greater amount of safety and peace of mind to the client and public. A torch-on waterproof membrane system was applied, with new pads and tiles installed creating a fresh new look for the skygardens.
