Rork Projects was engaged by the Independent Education Union (IEU) to provide a full fit out of their new tenancy at Football House Deakin. The project included various works, such as partitions, ceilings, glazing and doors, workstations, joinery, hydraulics, electrical, mechanical, flooring, blinds, painting / wallpaper, and loose furniture.
As per the special requirements of the client, Rork Projects hosted the Office Manager in their office for the duration of the project and handled any deliveries to IEU should some arrive when the office manager was out.
There were various challenges faced during the project, including joinery lead times noting the short build time and access into the tenancy below to run new drainage, which was all done after hours. However, Rork Projects overcame these challenges with their expertise and experience in the field.
To provide cost savings and meet the time frame, Rork Projects implemented various innovative solutions, such as changing the wall cladding materials, opting for alternative lights instead of the specified ones, and changing the front entry design.
Throughout the project, Rork Projects maintained open and transparent communication with the client, providing regular progress updates and seeking feedback to ensure that the final outcome met the client’s expectations.
Overall, Rork Projects successfully completed the full fit out of the IEU Tenancy at Football House Deakin, delivering high-quality work while meeting the client’s requirements and budget.
As an Indigenous business, we proudly acknowledge that this project was completed on the lands of the Ngunnuwal people.
