Rork Projects were contracted by Macquarie Telecom to expand their Intellicentre 4 (IC4) Bunker which is an ultramodern data centre facility in Canberra. The purpose built facility is at the heart of their secure network services offering to the Federal Government.
The project saw a 50% expansion of the existing facility and included the conversion of an old defence telephone exchange building into state of the art data centre. The fully refurbished building was connected to the existing data centre via a newly constructed services link corridor. The existing IC4 Data Centre was also upgraded and this included the addition of a further data hall.
