Rork Projects is proud to have delivered Head Contractor Design and Construct services for an office fit-out and refurbishment in Sydney.
The existing fit out was stripped out and replaced with all new workstations, boardroom, meeting rooms, and a new utilities area; reconfiguring services, data connections and security features. New furniture, floor coverings, window coverings and ceiling finishes were also included in the works.
Works on Level 5 included setup of hoarding to limit noise transfer to adjunct studios, an acoustic studio video recording room and dedicated video storeroom.
A detailed, staged programme was in place to ensure minimal disruption to the 24-hour news team and highly secure, occupied environment. The works were completed while the facility remained in operation with all noisy works coordinated around the agency’s on air and recording requirements.
Rork Projects has experience delivering projects under these tight restrictions and this prior understanding of the existing building context and key functionality requirements was key to our success.
