Constructed in the 1990’s the Melton Civic Centre building has been occupied by the Melton City Council for 20 years. Nearing capacity, the outdated infrastructure, fittings and and furniture were not conducive to a productive and collaborative, high-performing office environment.

Rork Projects was engaged by the Melton City Council, as the head contractor, to carry out the high-spec fit out, refurbishment and extension works to serve the rapidly growing needs of Council.

Works included delivery of the refurbishment office space, upgrade of main foyer entrance, mechanical plant room upgrade (including cooling tower); new kitchen fitout; landscaped courtyard (including decking, fencing and pergola); and refurbished EOT facilities.

The project was successfully delivered, over 3 stages; with the mechanical upgrade works delivered separately within the 3 staged program.

As an Indigenous business, we proudly acknowledge that this project was completed on the traditional lands of the Boonwurrung, Dja Dja Wurrung, Taungurung, Wathaurung and Wurundjeri peoples of the Kulin Nation.
