Lump Sum Contract

Rork Projects were engaged by Stockland Retirement Group to undertake the refurbishment of Salford Waters Retirement Estate in Victoria Point, Queensland.

The project was carried out in multiple stages over a 5-month period. Works included demolition, furniture procurement, refurbishment of the independent living centre, construction and painting of communal offices, carpet replacement, installation of vinyl flooring and the addition of striking feature ceilings.

During the refurbishment, some issues were found with the building’s roof trusses. The Rork Projects team managed this issue with a key focus on the safety of staff and residents and consistent stakeholder communication.

Works were carried out in a live, operational environment allowing unimpeded access to staff and emergency services while minimising disruption to the retirement estate’s residents.

As an Indigenous business, we proudly acknowledge that this project was completed on the traditional lands of the Noonucal, Gorenpul and Nughi Nations.
