Hayball Architects were engaged to design a complete refurbishment of the Year 1 Building at St Saviours. The main challenges for the project was delivery within a fully operational environment. St Saviours, Hayball and Rork Projects implemented strategic management plans and controls to mitigate all live environment risks.
The project consisted of the full internal demolition and strip out, while the new works included cutting external walls to create two new building entrances; installing two new concrete ramps to the buildings two entrances; constructing new amenities; installing new joinery, including acoustic rated wall linings, white boards, lockers and wall cabinets, as well as upgrading all building services, electrical, mechanical and data and external play areas.
