Rork Projects was engaged by GPT to undertake the demolition and recladding of the Toll/ NQX Freight Distribution Facility’s administration building, front entry and link bridge.
The project involved the detailed demolition of aluminium composite panel (ACP) combustible cladding and replacement with non-combustible Bondor Flame Guard cladding, while retaining the architectural design of the original construction.
The works were undertaken in a 24/7 operational freight distribution facility which required a high level of workplace health and safety and a detailed communication matrix between the tenant and client. To maintain unrestricted access to semitrailers within the facility, Rork Projects implemented a custom-designed scaffolding solution around the link bridge.
