Rork Projects was engaged by the University of Canberra to complete another fit out for the campus. This time for the Optometry Labs.
The expansion of the Optometry clinic included demolition works, additions and modifications to existing electrical, mechanical, data, fire, AV, security services and BMS, painting of new and existing walls and doors, and the supply and install new walls, ceilings, floor finishes, joinery, window film, and new blinds.
The project was located within building 28 Health Hub on the University Campus, which meant that Rork Projects was required to comply with all COVID19 requirements from the government when working in a health centre. This included having all staff on campus fully vaccinated.
Due to the busy nature of this live environment, the fit out and expansion was completed in a 2-staged approach. With stage 1 (ground level) being opened once complete and works to begin on stage 2). There was no disturbance to business operations meaning business continuity was maintained across all floors in the health hub.
As an Indigenous business, we proudly acknowledge that this project was completed on the lands of the Ngunnuwal people.
