Minimised disruption for Kangaroos Leagues Club

Our Canberra team rose to the challenge of delivering a 1000m2 Lounge Refurbishment in four stages to ensure that the Kangaroos Club (Queanbeyan NSW) continued operating smoothly throughout.

This ten week project involved the complete replacement of the existing floor finishes, wall treatments, ceiling treatment, fixed joinery, plants, specialist lighting and loose furniture to the public areas of the existing Club.

The Construction Management project – delivered in early August in 4 stages  – enabled the continuing operation of the club during the refurbishment, with a 3 day turn around required for the TAB area to ensure minimal loss of club revenue.

The designers created 2 distinct areas, a summer area looking over the Queanbeyan Kangaroos home ground and winter lounge around the bar area. Both areas have contrasting colours, finishes and loose furniture choices to provide members and guests a variety of areas to occupy.

Key to Kangaroos Leagues Club brief were two distinct areas celebrating the changing seasons.

A light and foliage filled “summer” area and a cosy, warm lounge perfect for chilly Queanbeyan winter evenings by the fire.

The Rork Projects team enjoyed delivering on the challenge of three-day turnarounds in specific areas to minimize disruption to the main revenue zones.

Congratulations to the ‘Roos Club’ and their members for an outstanding refurbishment and we wish their teams success for future seasons on the field.
