We’re pleased to announce our appointment as Construction Manager by the Australian Sports Commission for major mechanical upgrade works at the iconic Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in Canberra.
The AIS is Australia’s high performance sports training institution opening in 1981 and situated on a 66-hectare site campus is in the northern Canberra suburb of Bruce.
The approx. $6m project will see significant mechanical upgrades across three key buildings.
These include:
- Building 11: Multi Sports Hall
- Building 25: Visitors Centre
- Building 31/32: Testing & Training Pool/Recovery Centre

“Importantly, our Covid-19 management plan & controls will be in place on site to protect our employees, subcontractors, clients & members of the community,” he added.
Restricted access to the buildings will see the use of a mobile 80 tonne crane for Buildings 25, 31 & 32.
The work is due to be completed in Feb 2021.
