CO-OWNER & MANAGING DIRECTOR
Brian founded Rork Projects in 1997 with an aim to provide a great place of work where employees feel empowered to perform to the best of their ability.
With over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry, Brian has developed a broad range of skills in private enterprise roles within the following sectors: construction, building refurbishments and adaptive reuse and interior fitout.
Brian oversees all major projects for the company across a diverse project portfolio covering government, defence, retail, hospitality, health, and technology and service sectors.
Brian’s main focus is business development, strategic planning, risk management and development of high performance teams to maintain Rork Projects’ position as a leader in fitout and refurbishment.
CO-OWNER, DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS
Born in Cairns, John is Wuthathi from Cape York Peninsula and Meriam from Murray (Mer) Island in the Torres Strait.
For almost three decades, he worked in the Public Sector in media roles within national Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander agencies - developing, and implementing a diverse range of communication and media strategies as well as coordinating and managing significant national Indigenous events. He was also the Director of Media and Marketing for the NSW Aboriginal Land Council.
John is currently Co-Chair of the National NAIDOC Committee, Co-Host of The Point on SBS/NITV and Deputy Chair of Indigenous Reference Group at the National Museum of Australia. He's previously served as the Deputy Chair of the Australian Indigenous Leadership Centre and been a member of the ACT Indigenous Elected Body.
John oversees Rork Projects’ communications portfolio and assists the Managing Director in Rork’s Indigenous focused business development and strategic planning to maintain its position as a leader in fit out and refurbishment.
Angela is the co-founder of Rork Projects and is jointly responsible for the successful growth and management of Rork Projects from a small team in Canberra to a multi award winning national business across four states.
With over 20 years in client service and Administration Management, Angela overseas general operations of the company to ensure that the operations align with strategic business goals and is responsible for client liaison and delivery of best practice systems and procedures, workplace safety and overseeing rollout of key transformational projects.
Angela has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from UNSW.
GENERAL MANAGER VICTORIA
Steven has been in the construction industry for over 15 years with extensive knowledge of the federal government, commercial, hospitality, retail and residential sectors.
Having worked on medium to large scale commercial and residential projects, Steven has an exemplary track record for delivering successful award-winning fit-out and refurbishment projects across Victoria, New South Wales and the ACT, with client satisfaction being top priority.
Skilled at advising and leading the integration of property and design inputs, Steve has a hands- on approach to managing each and every stage of the project from evolution, initial feasibility, planning and concept through to documentation, procurement, construction and post occupancy adjustments.
Steven has a Diploma of Construction and C Class builders licence.
GENERAL MANAGER NSW
Andy Richards has over 20 years’ industry experience managing and leading teams delivering projects throughout NSW, QLD, VIC, SE Asia and UK. He has successfully managed projects in capacity as project director, client side project manager and construction manager for a multitude of both private and government sector clients.
Skilled at advising and leading the integration of property and design inputs, Andy has hands-on experience managing each stage of project evolution from initial feasibility, planning and concept through to documentation, procurement, construction and post occupancy adjustments.
Andy has a First National, Ordinary National and Higher National Diploma in Construction Studies.
GENERAL MANAGER ACT
Scott has over 25 years of experience across a diverse portfolio of complex building and construction projects. Highly regarded for his committed, passionate and personable approach to both stakeholders and project team members, he has combined skills in business development, construction programming, value cost management, design management and project delivery.
His expertise includes business ownership of a renowned Architecture, Interior Design, Interior Construction and Property Development company in South Africa.
Scott has a National Higher Diploma in Architecture, from the University of Johannesburg.
GENERAL MANAGER QUEENSLAND
Matthew has over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry, specialising in business development, project management, cost planning and project delivery. His commercial and business management background is supported by extensive construction expertise, acquired working across all stages of the development process, from concept to completion.
Matthew has worked across different built forms, including delivering national retail refurbishment projects, commercial construction projects, and fit-outs in the retail, hospitality and medical sectors.
Matthew has an Advanced Diploma Project Management • PPD Accreditation (practicing Project Director), Cert 1, 2 and 3 Engineering and a BTech 1st Diploma Business and Finance.
NATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
Bade is a commercially focussed HR professional with extensive experience in driving operational and strategic people and performance initiatives for small to large organisations in Australia and Asia Paciﬁc region.
She has worked in a variety of industries including Construction, Education, Telecommunications and Technology and Professional Services in small to large organisations.
Her qualifications are a Master of Business from Monash University (HR Management) and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wollongong (Psychology & Management).
NATIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGER
Since 2012, Dale has overseen the operational and financial management of Rork Projects during a period of significant growth for the company.
She has implemented innovative digital construction management systems across the company with the goal to achieve best practice management for staff and contractors.
Dale has a thorough background in financial management and leads Rork Projects’ experienced finance team based in the Canberra office.
NATIONAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Pepe Ianniello joined Rork Projects in 2016 with over 20 years' experience in the retail, commercial furniture and construction industries. Pepe brings energy, high standards of service and professionalism to his work with clients and Rork Projects.
Leading Rork Projects' business development strategy, Pepe supports each state to achieve business growth by expanding their networks and fostering client relationships. Working closely with Rork Projects' National Marketing Manager, Pepe drives the company's direct digital engagement activity to generate new opportunities for Rork Projects.
NATIONAL SYSTEMS AND SAFETY MANAGER
Shane has played an integral role in the growth of Rork Projects, having first joined the company in 2005. Starting out in Canberra, Shane established the company’s Sydney office in 2009 and now works out of our Creek Street office in Brisbane’s CBD.
With experience across multiple areas of the business, Shane is able to provide sound leadership and management of Rork Projects’ systems and safety to meet Federal and International Standards.
Shane has a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety from the Master Builders Association, a Diploma in Project Management (Construction) and a Certificate IV in Business Management from the Canberra Institute of Technology.
