Rork Projects is proud to have been awarded the contract to deliver the Wentworth Point Community Centre and Library by the City of Parramatta Council.
Commencing soon, this greatly anticipated project will provide the local community with a diverse range of amenities including;
- Contemporary library services
- Multiple flexible community meeting rooms and mini conference capabilities
- An artist studio/exhibition space
- Music practice rooms
- A co-working area for local micro-business operators
- A forecourt that can be used for local community events and functions
The priority project is part of the City of Parramatta Council’s provision of public amenities in order to address the needs of a growing community at Wentworth Point. The Community Centre and Library will service Wentworth Point, Newington and neighbouring communities.
As part of this initiative, a cold shell within a recently completed high rise residential and commercial building complex at 2 Waterways Street (corner of Footbridge Boulevard) Wentworth Point was made available for being fitted out as a Community Centre and Library.
The project scope includes the delivery of a comprehensive interior fit-out consisting of a glass shaft and passenger lift, an elliptical inter connecting staircase, raised access flooring, services reticulation and associated new plant, intricate floor/wall and ceiling finishes, bespoke joinery, metal work, fixed/loose furniture and all other associated work.
