Wentworth Point Library & Community Centre nears completion

Work continues at a prompt and efficient pace for our Sydney office as the completion date for the Wentworth Point Library and Community Centre draws closer.

This $13 million priority project – to be completed soon – is part of the City of Parramatta Council’s provision of public amenities in order to address the needs of a growing community at Wentworth Point.

The 38-week project will see a diverse range of amenities within a recently completed high rise residential and commercial building complex, including;

  • Contemporary library services
  • Multiple flexible community meeting rooms and mini conference capabilities
  • An artist studio/exhibition space
  • Music practice rooms
  • A co-working area for local micro-business operators
  • A forecourt that can be used for local community events and functions

Due to the project being handed over as a true “cold shell”, full BIM was utilised to document and manage the installation of all in-ceiling services.

Aside from full services installation across the 3,850m² project, other scope includes installation three interconnecting staircases; a glass shaft passenger lift; commercial kitchen; dance studios; significant public amenities; community rooms and full library incorporating RFID and shelving systems.

The City of Parramatta Council is a local government area encompassing Central Western Sydney as well as parts of neighbouring regions.
